Take That star Mark Owen, 52, looked very different from his cute nineties boy band image as he stepped out in Perth, Western Australia in a black sports kit, dark sunglasses and with his brown hair falling into his face on Thursday 30 October.
He’s in Australia for Take That’s sold out, This Life On Tour, string of concerts that mark the band’s first live performances in Australia for seven years.
Mark had a much cleaner cut image when Take That first rose to fame in 1992, after forming in 1990. Back then, he was known as the sweet one in the band, who performed alongside lead singer Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams, and he won Smash Hits awards for both ‘Most Fanciable Male in the World’ three years in a row, and ‘Best Haircut’ for his short and neat style.
The band, which broke up in 1996 and reformed in 2005, now consists of Mark, Gary and Howard, with Robbie Williams having left the group in 1995 to embark on a hugely successful solo career, and Jason Orange leaving in 2014 when he decided to retire from the entertainment industry.
