Ice Cube has taken to Twitter to refute comments made by Kanye West in an interview linking the rapper to West’s antisemitic views.In an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast – in which he made several inflammatory statements, and which has since been taken down from online platforms – West referenced Cube multiple times.

At one point, West claimed that Cube had “really influenced” him to “get on this antisemite vibe”.West has made a slew of antisemitic comments over the past weeks.

A post directed at the Jewish community led to West being suspended from Instagram and later Twitter, where he wrote that he “[would be] going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE”.West’s comments were criticised by the likes of David Schwimmer, John Legend, Jack Antonoff and KISS‘ Paul Stanley.

During the Drink Champs interview, he made further antisemitic comments, saying “the Jewish media blocked [him] out”.On Tuesday (October 18), Ice Cube took to Twitter to dispel the notion he had played a role in West’s recent string of antisemitic sentiments. “I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bullshit,” he wrote.“I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him.
