Ianis Hagi's agent asks Rangers fans for 'help' to pressure Philippe Clement into surprise return

Philippe Clement will have no choice but to hand out of favour star Ianis Hagi a recall to the Rangers side if they continue to flatter to deceive on the pitch.That's according to the Romania international's agent, who claims that pressure from Ibrox die-hards on the under-fire Belgian boss could work in Hagi's favour.

The midfielder has been frozen out of the first team picture by Clement since his return from a year-long loan at Alaves in last season, and has also been excluded from the Gers squad for the new look Europa League group phase.The 25-year-old has trained and featured for the Light Blues B team in a bid to keep his fitness up, but to the surprise of many has remained in Govan beyond last week's transfer deadline, despite links with a return to Romania.

In the aftermath of last Sunday's dismal Old Firm defeat at Celtic Park - which has left Rangers trailing Celtic by five points after the first four league games - some pundits and sections of the club's support have questioned why Hagi has not been brought back into the fold.And agent and family friend Giovanni Becali reckons the recent troubles on the park could eventually force Clement's hand in giving the playmaker a fresh start in Govan.

Speaking to fanatik.ro, he said: "Something is happening to Ianis that the supporters also dispute. If we look at the results that Glasgow has had so far, Rangers drew a game and Celtic went to two points, they beat them 3-0 in the direct match as well and they are on five points, so the situation of the first place is kind of settled in Scotland.
