Ian Wright claimed Josip Juranovic was being kept OUT of the Celtic team by Anthony Ralston as he assessed the Croatian ahead of the World Cup semi-final.Juranovic has been one of Celtic's best players this season and carried that form over to the World Cup where he has put himself in the shop window with a string of excellent performances.
He played every minute of their Champions League group campaign, while Ralston was often rotated in for league action after Juranovic ran out for 90 minutes against the likes of Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.
Gary Neville was singing Juranovic's praises ahead of the semi-final kick-off and it seems Wright got the wrong end of the stick with a glance at the duo's shared league minutes this season.
He said on ITV: "Juranovic is being kept out of the Celtic side by Anthony Ralston, who is doing well himself."His position is that right-back slot and he's very good in that position, which we've seen in the World Cup.
