Ian McKellen, 84, splits from boyfriend after engagement rumours
ok.co.ukSir Ian McKellen has split with his boyfriend of just over one year, it's been reported.The legendary Lord of the Rings star was in a relationship with fellow actor, Oscar Conlon-Morrey, after the pair met while playing mother and son in the pantomime Mother Goose.
Oscar, who is over 50 years Ian's junior, reportedly dubbed the 84 year old as "the new love of his life" at the end of 2022 when he announced on Twitter that the pair were seeing in the new year together.
It is thought that the former couple first got together towards the end of the year, and their relationship quickly got serious.
Plus, according to insiders, Ian was also smitten with the 30 year old actor during the honeymoon phase of their courtship. However, Ian and Oscar's whirlwind romance has officially come to an end, with a well known, unnamed actor close to Ian suggesting reasons for the split.
