Ian Evatt says the bid Bolton Wanderers have lodged for Gillingham's Kyle Dempsey remains with the Kent club and that the Whites are waiting to hear back about it.
Wanderers are interested in signing the Gills man to add to their midfield options. Bolton had an opening bid for the Gills man turned down but have put a second bid in last week, understood to be a six-figure sum. It adds to the permanent signings of Dion Charles and Aaron Morley, as well as the loan signings of Marlon Fossey and James Trafford.
Dempsey is out of contract at Gillingham this summer and this window is the last opportunity the Kent club would be able to get a transfer fee for the midfielder or he would walk away for free later this year, should he not sign a new deal.
