‘I wish I Kissed A Boy was on TV when I was a teen, being gay was seen as shameful'

I Kissed a Boy, which is set in Italy and hosted by Dannii Minogue, has a similar premise to Love Island, but the twist is that the men who are coupled up have to kiss before they’ve even said hello to each other.

Unsurprisingly, viewers have been hooked since the first episode aired and adorable contestants such as Jake from Swansea and Ollie from Brighton already have a firm place in our hearts.

But apart from the fact that it’s hugely entertaining, the show is being hailed as a game-changer due to the fact that it’s the UK’s first all-male gay dating show.

Someone who couldn’t be happier about this is community manager Jack Murphy from Caerphill. He tells us that having a programme like this on our screens - where a diverse and relatable group of gay men are front and centre - is a “huge” deal.
