A mum-of-three who was left 'mortified' after being told she was too big to go down a waterslide turned her life around by losing eight stone in eight months.

Sian Doulton, from Sandbach in Cheshire, was on holiday celebrating her 30th birthday when the 'embarrassing' incident happened.

She said she was a 'hot sweaty mess' while on the trip, and realised 'something had to change'. Weighing in at 19st 2.8lbs, Sian made huge changes to her diet, ditching the crisps and ready meals for protein shakes and smoothies until she could comfortably fit in a size 10. "I thought it was going to be much much harder, I have tried to lose weight before but it has never clicked," she said. "For the first 12 weeks, I lost four stone, I didn't do any exercise, it was just the meal replacements. "After the first 23 weeks, I started increasing my steps." Sian now weighs 11st 1lbs, having dropped 8st 1lb.

Speaking of the holiday that triggered her weight loss, the maternity support worker said: "We went all-inclusive while we were away.
