‘I was dumped from Love Island but I'm going to meet up with Molly now she's out’

Now that the latest series of Love Island has been on our screens for nearly three weeks, recouplings on the hit ITV2 show are in full swing.

But while recouplings may be a chance for couples to solidify their blossoming relationships, for some it means a one-way ticket out of the villa.

For George Fensom, a surprise recoupling in week one meant that he was the first contestant to be dumped from the 2023 series - a decision that he says was “unfortunate but not unexpected”.

Speaking to OK! about his time on the show, 24 year old George says that while he wasn’t able to find love on the show he was able to make some great friendships which he plans to continue when Islanders begin to leave the villa. “I wanted to find love and I don’t think I was given enough time to make that happen.
