The gobsmacked husband, from the US, revealed that he was adopted just moments after he was born and has never known anything about his birth parents.He was happy with his past as part of a closed adoption and had no intention of finding out about where he came from.
However, the shocking revelation about his family history hit him hard after he underwent testing to see if he could donate a kidney to his wife of six years after she took ill, The Mirror reports.
Posting about his situation on Reddit, the husband said: "My wife got sick just after our son was born and now is in need of a kidney transplant.
