Dupe is a four letter word to some, and I admit I have mixed feelings on the matter, especially when it’s tiny indie beauty brands providing the “inspiration”.
However I simply can’t rip my eyes away from Aldi’s audacious lookalikes – or in this case, smell-alikes.This week the supermarket dupe master is turning its attention to fragrance, with £5.99 “competitors” (its word) to three blockbuster scents, including Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl and YSL Black Opium.
However the one that’s got me truly intrigued is Lacura Atom, which is inspired by one of the most famous perfumes in the world: Escentric Molecules’ groundbreaking Molecule 01.
Atom is available here on pre-order now, and goes into stores as a Special Buy on 14th April. But is it worth trying or should you turn your nose up at it?
