Two NHS nurses have been found guilty of conspiring to mistreat patients in their care, with one drugging victims for 'an easy shift' as her colleague egged her on.
Catherine Hudson, 54, sedated patients for her own amusement and to 'keep them quiet and compliant', while Charlotte Wilmot, 48, egged her on when patients she was taking care of became challenging.
The pair both worked on the stroke unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. A jury at Preston Crown Court found Hudson unanimously guilty of ill-treating two patients, conspiracy to ill-treat and theft.
