Generally I don't like talking about Christmas until at least November. With shops launching their festive displays before we've even had chance to cover our barbecues - if you've even had it out this year - it can all feel a bit too much.
But when it comes to food, that's a topic I can happily discuss until the cows come home. And there is no shortage of it in the festive season.
It's not just the price of a turkey that gets people talking these days either - supermarkets' efforts to pull in the punters with their festive menus become supercharged from as early as September. I can take it or leave it and I honestly wouldn't be fussed if I had chicken on my plate instead, it's a damn site cheaper that's for sure.
