There can be many reasons why we choose to look for a new job. Whether it be extra cash or a shorter commute, the colleagues around us can also play a big factor in our decision to move on.

That was the case for Chris, from Trafford, who loved his job in the housing industry. But he felt as though his boss looked down on him, so when a new opportunity came up elsewhere, he decided to grab it with both hands.

Chris, who wants to remain anonymous, hadn’t been in his new role long when he was asked to help recruit other people to join the team.

He was flicking through CVs when he came across one in particular, recognising the name instantly. To his shock, it had been sent in by his former boss – but she had copied his own CV word for word.
