'I thought having a stall in Manchester Christmas Markets would be magical - but it's been so sad'

A Christmas Market stallholder said there is 'no way' she will come close to breaking even - as she makes around £30 a day in sales.

AJ Humbert helped set up Agatha’s Farm, which sells soaps and candles made by her mum, with her auntie, Agnieszka Biardzka. It's cost them nearly £4,000 to have a small stall in Cathedral Gardens.

They thought the venture would be 'magical' - but the reality of being a stallholder has been more like a nightmare. READ MORE: A lack of access to toilets, low footfall and problems with electricity means they are questioning whether it's worth staying open any longer.

AJ, from Rossendale, said they need to make at least £200 per day to cover the cost of the stall itself, excluding any material or staffing costs,
