Sitting down to watch Becoming I didn’t expect to relate to Michelle Obama. From the outside, it would seem that the only thing we have in common is the fact we’re both women.
But as I watched I realised just how much we had in common. Of course, I see my own privilege. As a white woman, I don’t face the racial discrimination that she faced.
But there are other moments that left me tears. It was so raw. So real. And there were moments that I recognised myself and millions of other women around the globe. 1.
Family We all know that Michelle loves her family, Barack and their two daughters, Sasha and Malia. But in the Becoming documentary, we also get to see her with her mother and siblings.
