A woman ignited a heated discussion after she declined to relinquish her train seat for a child who was reluctant to stand throughout the journey.
She recounted her experience on the subway, where a mother requested she vacate her seat so her child could sit with a sibling.
Understanding the family's desire to sit together, she nonetheless chose not to move as she faced a lengthy trip and had several stops before reaching her destination.
