A woman explained why she takes down her Christmas decorations "early" after celebrating the festive season. While many people might wait until New Year's Day or even January 5 or 6 to pack away their festive trimmings, one woman prefers to clear away the holiday cheer on Boxing Day.

The unusual habit may raise eyebrows, but there's a compelling reason behind this early clear-out. Chelsea Azeferina, who goes by @chelseaazeferina on TikTok, believes removing the decorations promptly is crucial for embracing the New Year.

She commented: "It might sound controversial but every year I take my decorations down the day after Christmas. I am always one of the first person to start decorating.

This year I started decorating on October 15 so, respectfully, by the time December 26 rolls around, I am over it. I'm ready for a blank slate and a fresh start to the New Year." Chelsea also mentioned the practical side of her decision, saying: "Not to mention I'm really tired of tinsel getting stuck to the bottom of my feet while I walk around the apartment.
