Earlier this month, United's Theatre of Dreams turned into that of nightmares as 41mm of rain lashed down towards the end of the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal.
This led to embarrassing scenes as rainwater flooded down the stands and into the away dressing room. But the worst was to come as the roof buckled under the pressure of the rain leading to severe leaks in the press box as well as in the stands which created a waterfall at one end of the stadium.
MEN Sport understands there are no immediate plans to fix the roof at Old Trafford.
