motorist who ran over a stab victim lying on the road turned Good Samaritan when he stopped and rushed the man to hospital.Salam Ibrahim, 33, was at the wheel of his VW Golf when he drove over Steven Cartwright, 35, who was lying on his back on the road at George Street, Paisley, in the early hours of May 1, last year.Ibrahim quickly phoned an ambulance to report the accident and joined witnesses in rushing to Mr Cartwright’s aid as he lay suffering from severe crush injuries and stab wounds , following an earlier attack.Paisley Sheriff Court heard Mr Cartwright was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Ibrahim’s car, such was his concern for the victim’s life.The victim later praised Ibrahim saying: “I owe him my life.”Procurator fiscal.
