Jemma lives in Omagh, Northern Ireland , with her husband Clive and their children Sadie, five, Louis, two, and Betty, one. She may only have weeks to live and her suffering is made worse by vile comments from online trolls.
Here, she shares her story... I winced as I read another nasty message on my Instagram that had been sent from a horrible troll. “You’re faking it, you don’t have cancer.” I swallowed back the tears stinging my eyes, determined not to let these awful people get the better of me.
It was the second message I’d received in a week from a stranger hiding behind their keyboard. “You look too good to be dying,” other trolls would write.The comments were regular, a few every week, so I’m used to it now.
In the beginning, I’ll admit they hurt. But now I believe it’s those people who have the problem.They must be incredibly unhappy.
