'I'’m the real-life Buddy the Elf but most people don't believe me'

If you thought Buddy the Elf from the family favourite Christmas movie was fictitious, then think again, as a 6ft man has dubbed himself 'the real-life Elf'.

Peet Montzingo towers over his family at 6ft 1in tall, while they stand at 4ft 4in having been born with dwarfism. Peet is the only member of his family without dwarfism.

When he was growing up, he thought it was "normal" for parents to be the same height as their kids. It was only when he went to school that he realised his family life was a little different from everyone else. "I truly thought it was normal for families to be mostly little people and look like my family," Peet told What's The Jam.

He continued: "I didn’t feel like an outcast or that they were dwarves, they were just my family, and this is how [everyone else’s] looked. "It wasn’t until preschool when I saw other kids with their parents and realised that they would actually look up at their mums and dads.This completely shook my world.
