Heather has a boyfriend while Tom has a girlfriend, together forming what they consider a polyamorous family.This year, instead of celebrating with each other, Heather has taken off on a girly getaway, while Tom's girlfriend is tied up with work, leaving Tom to spend the holiday with Heather's boyfriend.
Heather shared with us, "It wasn't until after I paid for the trip that we realised it was over Valentine's Day – so my husband and my boyfriend are off for a romantic dinner while I'm gone." She went on to say, "My boyfriend really respects my husband.
It wouldn't work if he didn't. And the same goes for my husband's girlfriend – she is so incredibly respectful of my marriage." So, how did this couple evolve from a monogamous relationship into one with multiple partners since meeting on Tinder in 2016 and tying the knot in 2023?
