A predator who asked children half his age for sick photographs and videos has avoided jail. Philip Malpass, 29, used Kik Messenger to speak to teenage girls after finding their usernames online.
However, Bolton Crown Court heard that two of the accounts he was speaking to turned out to be undercover police officers. Malpass, of Kirby Avenue, Atherton, pleaded guilty to four counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and one count of possessing indecent images. then subjected her to horrific hotel room attack Prosecution barrister Roger Brown told the court that the offending began in March 2020 when Malpass spoke to a police officer, who was posing as a 13-year-old girl.
He told the officer that the girl looked ‘beautiful’ and told them that he wanted to ‘f***’ them. When they told him they were 13, he said that he ‘thought they would look amazing in uniform’.
