Match of the Day pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy says he was upset that a celebrity was chosen to co-commentate on Manchester City's 4-1 defeat to Sporting in the Champions League.
Oasis legend Noel Gallagher follows City both home and away and joined commentary team Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist for TNT Sports coverage of the game in Lisbon.
A three-person commentary team is not unheard of in football but is often reserved for another ex-professional footballer or in recent times, a retired referee.
Instead, Gallagher gave the views of the match from a fan perspective. Despite being a novel experience for fans watching from home, Murphy told talkSPORT that he would not like to see this becoming the new normal.
