ITV are taking no chances with the coronavirus on the I'm A Celebrity set – fitting proximity buzzers to make sure everyone stays two metres apart at all time.

Show bosses have made crew wear the buzzers throughout the show to ensure health and safety guidelines are up to scratch – the only people allowed within two metre of each other are the contestants and Ant and Dec.

Executive producer Richard Cowles said: “On a Covid level everyone has got proximity monitors on them so basically they can't come within two metres of each other without them buzzing and flashing and reminding them to step away from each other.” Crew members must wear masks when not at their desks, which will all face away from each other, with all work spaces built two
