I'm A Celebrity: Bev Callard's tumultuous first marriage at 16 before baby heartbreak

Last night's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here saw Bev Callard open up about her first marriage, admitting she fell head-over-heels for Paul Atkinson the first time she saw him.

Aged just 15, Paul was three years older and when they kissed for the first time at the local youth club, Bev was smitten. She fell pregnant at 16 and in her autobiography, Unbroken: A Story of Survival, the Coronation Street actress told how she and Paul were determined to marry, despite opposition from her parents who feared she was too young.

On January 29, 1974 - just weeks shy of her her 17th birthday - Bev married Paul at Dewsbury Register Office in front of only a handful of family and friends followed by a bash back at her mum's house.
