The telly presenter spent three weeks living off meagre rations of rice and beans with the occasional treat if the stars did well in the trials.
Vernon made it to the top three and is expected to be heading home from Wales today. His wife, Strictly Come Dancing host Tess, 51, can't wait to see him and has done a big shop at Waitrose in preparation for his return.
In a post on Instagram, she revealed her husband is now 30 pounds (two stone) lighter so she's determined to help him get back to normal.
