Former I'm A Celeb star Nicola McLean has slammed the show as "boring" as she said the current stars in the pre-recorded South Africa version are hiding their "real personalities".
The 41 year old, who appeared on I'm A Celeb back in 2008, is a regular on the reality TV circuit, having also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2012 and again on the show’s 19th series in 2017, which was an All-Star vs.
New Star season. She's not a fan of the new all-stars version of I'm A Celebrity, and hasn't minced her words when it comes to saying so publicly.
She told the Daily Star: "The only gameplan I think you can do in there is not show your real personality, everyone apart from Janice [Dickinson] is doing that. "Everybody else thinks of the bigger picture and that's why reality shows have got boring because people are looking for the brand deals and for their Instagram to pop off. "That's why it's so boring because they're all set on staying 'on brand'." Nicola then said that she "admires their discipline" to stick to being 'on brand', but that she couldn't do it as she likes to say things how things how they are.
