I'm A Celeb's Dean McCullough's mum shares plans to confront Ant saying 'he's hard on him'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Dean McCullough's mum has landed in Australia, where she revealed her plans to confront host Ant McPartlin.

She staunchly defended her son against some of the jibes aimed at him, asserting: "There is nothing false about him". Dean's mum arrived in Brisbane to support her 32-year-old radio presenter son on the jungle show, after he faced criticism from Ant and Dec over some of his trial attempts.

However, she insisted his screams are real and he was trying his best. "We are seeing the real Dean, he is just being himself....he just gets on with it," she added. "And that's what I said to him: 'Have fun and be yourself.'" Ant has expressed his frustration with Dean during some of the Bushtucker Trials and in an Instagram Live video with fans, Dec even claimed there was a "bit of a debate" backstage as to whether Dean's terrified response was genuine.

However, Dean's efforts during the Jack and the Screamstalk trial on Monday night, earned him ten stars and a round of applause from Ant and Dec.
