McFly member and podcaster Harry Judd has revealed why his bandmate Danny Jones is afraid of snakes, saying that it all started with a pet.

Speaking on ‘Binge!’, a podcast he co-hosts with Alex Jones, Harry, 38, said that I'm A Celeb contestant Danny and fellow bandmate Dougie Poynter, 36, both had pet snakes but that one day one of the snakes turned on the musician.

He said: “He had a snake pet, but then it bit him so he doesn’t like snakes no. Him and Doug got pet snakes and it bit him.” Harry’s discussion of his bandmate’s phobia came after Danny endured a challenge on I’m A Celeb that saw him trying to complete a challenge whilst lying down in a room full of the reptiles.

The challenge saw one brave snake crawl up his shorts, much to the surprise the artist. Harry’s discussion of Danny’s phobia has occurred at the same time as the latter opened up about his anxiety disorder on the ITV staple.
