Recounting painful personal experiences is never easy and for Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh, memories of her cousin’s tragic death in a hit and run are all too close.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, the presenter opened up about the incident which remains unsolved, 25 years later. Páraic was only 18-years-old the night he was hit by a car walking home to Rathcairn from a disco in Athboy, Co Meath. It was about 3am on 9 June and the incident shocked the close-knit Gaeltacht community.
