A mum-of-two stormed into a pub before swinging a hammer at a woman who her boyfriend had been sleeping with. Kirsty Allen was so enraged after hearing of her partner's affair that she sought quick revenge for the betrayal.

The 31-year-old grabbed a hammer and descended on the pub, where she struck the woman to the face. A court heard that Allen was pregnant with her daughter when she found out her partner had been cheating on her.

Allen asked the woman about the affair on March 13 last year but did not make any threats at the time, Hull Live reports. She then carried out her attack three weeks later, on April 5.

Hull Crown Court heard how the woman was at the Fiveways Hotel, in Boothferry Road, west Hull, with her cousin. Prosecuting, Emma Handley said Allen took a hammer with her as she went to the pub with another woman.
