A young woman who was caught speeding on the M62 while under the influence of cannabis complained in court that a road ban would 'affect her social life'.
Bryony Barker was spotted by police going over the 70mph speed limit in her Volkswagen Golf on the motorway near Widnes on the evening of May 11.
The officer then noticed the smell of cannabis and carried out a drug test on the 26-year-old. Barker, from Urmston, tested more than three times the drug-driving limit, Warrington Magistrates' Court heard.
But when brought into court to be sentenced, the site visitor complained that a road ban would affect her social life, as well as her ability to visit her ill mother.
