Ollie, 27, who starred in the BBC's latest series hosted by Dannii Minogue, almost secured a spot on Love Island instead, which traditionally caters to heterosexual (and occasionally bisexual) individuals.The Brighton-based tarmacer successfully navigated through a significant portion of the application process, although not everything turned out to be as straightforward as it initially appeared.
Speaking to Metro, he shared: "I actually applied for Love Island a few years ago, “I got through a lot of stages, but I did actually say that I was bisexual.
It was a white lie.” Ollie, who reached the final of I Kissed a Boy with Dan Harry, did have a genuine reason for wanting to gatecrash the show.
