There has been growing focus on the unfolding tragedies within care homes, but less on the thousands of care workers who help vulnerable people in their own houses. Here, one worker describes her fears both for her elderly clients and herselfIt is a scary time for home care workers... It is strange that I can still visit multiple homes per day - some that I have never been to before.

But I can’t visit my own family. Once you enter a home, all rules of social distancing that we are all used to outside don’t apply.

It’s like being in a bubble. We are given a plastic apron and plastic gloves for PPE when entering the homes of clients who are not symptomatic, or have underlying heath conditions.
