A man from Wythenshawe has completed the massive achievement of cycling just under 1200 miles across 11 countries in just over two weeks.
Wesley Hamnet, 40, was doing the bike ride for charity and raised over £1100 for four different charities. Working as a cargo handler at Manchester Airport, Wesley has previous experience riding long distances on bikes after riding a pink bicycle from Manchester to Glasgow (230 miles). Cycling through Europe, Wesley went through England, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Luxembourg and Hungary.
Wesley’s chosen four charities he is raising money for are MFT Charity, The Christie Fund, MacMillan Cancer Care and The British Heart Foundation.
