A woman who owns an XL bully dog has called on the government not to ban the breed, saying that she trusts her pet '100 per cent'.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has promised to ban the controversial breed by the end of the year following a spate of dog attacks.

Existing owners could be required to neuter their dogs and muzzle them in public when the ban comes in, according to government officials.
