Fuel prices remain high and drivers are becoming increasingly frustrated over how much it's costing to fill a tank. While we can only dream about the £1 a litre prices that came during the pandemic, over recent months that cost has almost doubled.
Despite the average price falling in July, with RAC figures showing a litre of unleaded petrol at 175.24p, it's still a lot more than we used to pay and it's hitting people hard. One such place is Costco petrol station in Trafford Park, just across from The Trafford Centre. With that in mind I headed there this week to fill up my Dacia to see how much I could save.
The queue when I arrived was the biggest indicator that it's selling fuel cheaper than elsewhere and I was impressed to see on the sign driving in that it's down to 159.7p for unleaded and 173.7p for diesel.
