A woman was left heartbroken when she accidentally damaged a chicken egg that she'd intended to incubate. For many, breaking an egg might not seem like a major incident – but for her, it was a crushing moment as she had aspirations of hatching it and watching the little chick grow up.

Heather Nash took to social media to share her experience, expressing her feelings of regret and sadness. On Facebook, she detailed the unfortunate incident.

She added: "The incubator lid slid out of my hands and crushed this poor egg about five days before hatch date. I was heartbroken!

I felt terrible." She did not give up, hoping to salvage the egg she said, "in an effort to keep it alive" she "put candle wax on the break in the membrane".
