A mum was left in a state of bewilderment when her husband went "AWOL" while enjoying time with his friends. With two young children at home, aged four and six months, she was understandably worried about his "zero contact" approach while out on a session that lasted from the afternoon into the early hours.

Taking her concerns to Mumsnet, the woman recounted how she had "forgiven him for a lot over the years". She sought the opinions of fellow users, delving into the details of his behaviour.

She wrote: "I woke up with the baby in the early hours and he wasn't home, so I sent a message asking where he was. No reply.

Up with baby again about an hour and a half later, again no reply. Tried to call with the next wake up, didn't pick up. By this point it was about 5.30am - everything would have been closed.
