In now-familiar scenes for a Saturday afternoon, hundreds gathered in Manchester to demand a ceasefire in Gaza again today. Protests have become a weekly occurrence in Greater Manchester over the past five months, amid conflict in the Middle East.

Crowds gathered for a rally outside Central Library at St Peter's Square this afternoon (March 2). Protesters than marched through the streets of the city centre - including along Peter Street, Deansgate and Market Street.

Those taking part waved Palestine flags, banners and placards as they chanted along the way. At one point, the protest stopped outside Manchester Arndale, as calls of 'ceasefire now' rung around the canopy on Market Street, below the food court.
