Human remains have been found by workers behind a pub in the middle of a city centre. Electrical workers made the grim discovery on on Monday, June 19, on Cathederal Street in Manchester.
Electricity North West staff were repairing a fault behind The Old Wellington pub and outside Manchester Cathedral, when they uncovered the human remains, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Cops were called to the area at around 3.30pm, and officers and crime scene investigators set up a tent, and a small cordon remained in place on Tuesday.Police stated the find is not being treated as suspicious.
The site the workers found the remains is believed to be on the spot of an old church yard and graveyard dating back hundreds of years.
