London this weekend, after previously calling the county’s leader an ‘over-promoted rubber bath toy’.The Notting Hill actor has been a passionate anti-Brexiteer and vocal critic of Prime Minister Mr Johnson, and it seems he’s still on the cause, sharing a message promoting a march taking place on Saturday.Organised by the activist group Take Back Democracy, the group describes itself as ‘entirely fed up with the UK government of Boris Johnson and the Tory party’.Hugh shared a tweet by one of the group’s activists, which read: ‘Never have I seen more businesses going bust, more people in poverty, such a great divide between rich and poor, or such corruption in our government.‘It has to change and it starts Saturday.’Along with the tweet, Hugh shared his own apparent endorsement with a pointing finger and a fist emoji.ðð https://t.co/02aP9Oo4o0Amid the demonstration, set to take place in Parliament Square, a statement on the groups website read: ‘We felt compelled to do something in the wake of the ongoing corruption of the UK Government.
We wanted to do something to stop the slide into fascism and to be a counterargument to the populist agenda.‘We believe in inclusion, equality, and a fair country for everyone.
We have no party-political affiliations, and we are members of different parties and no parties.’Hugh has not minced his thoughts about Mr Johnson, after claiming the country was ‘finished’ after he was elected in 2019.When asked how he felt following the recent general election which saw Boris Johnson return to power and about Brexit, he didn’t hold back his feelings, telling AP: ‘It’s a catastrophe.
