Christmas can be a lonely time for some people, but Love Actually star Hugh Grant made sure to give a group of Londoners something to smile about.
Hugh, 63, who features in newly-released film Wonka, helped out in the Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch earlier this week.The initiative helps over 500 locals in London's borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, who otherwise would have spent the festive period on their own.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, the council said: "Thanks to everyone who joined us at the annual Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch - including a very special guest, Hugh Grant. "Hugh helped us serve lunch to 500 local older people who otherwise would have celebrated alone.This was the real Love Actually." Alongside the post were a series of images of Hugh - looking very smiley in a suit - serving plates of food to residents, with the statement continuing: "Massive thanks to Hugh Grant for his surprise appearance serving guests at our Big H&F Christmas Day Lunch. "We were all delighted to see him.
He made an already fun occasion even more special." Hugh was praised in the comments for his contribution, with one writing: “Thank you @HackedOffHugh.
