Hugely successful Perth Comic Con announces date for 2023 return

Caped heroes, masked villains and iconic figures from a galaxy far, far away will be beaming back into the Fair City once again this year for the return of the hugely successful Perth Comic Con.Organiser BGCP (Big Glasgow Comic Page) announced the return of the cosplay and comic book celebration for August 5 at Dewars Centre.The community were “thrilled” with last year’s event where hundreds of colourful characters attended, finally arriving after two Covid cancellations.More than 70 traders set up stalls selling comic books, graphic novels, signed and graded books, independent comics, and artwork to fans.Funko pops, props, action figures, anime, trading cards, clothing, and Dungeons and Dragons relics were also available to fanatics.Special comic guest writers and artists also attended, along with workshops, gaming stations, guests and cosplayers.Comic fans could be seen enjoying the day dressed up as their favourite characters including Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, the Transformer Bumblebee, Pikachu, the Ghostbusters, as well as a variety of Star Wars and Star Trek outfits.And this year BGCP is promising “more” is in store for those loyal fans and newcomers alike with further details on who and what will be making an appearance revealed in the coming months.On January 2, BGCP Comic Con: Perth’s Facebook page announced: “BGCP once again brings Comic Con back to Perth after our massive first event at the Dewars Centre.“We’ve spent the time since acquiring more of your favourite heroes and villains for meet and greets, more interactive props, more consoles and arcades as well as lots of new talented traders.“We’ll be releasing details of what and who will be at the event as we get closer to it.”Already available to
