Huge police presence swoops on Scots flats block as area locked down
dailyrecord.co.ukPolice have swooped in on a block of flats in Ayrshire as part of a major incident this evening. Montgomerie Street in Ardrossan has been taped off as officers patrol the area.Multiple emergency services are on the scene, which is just minutes away from the town's ferry terminal.
Pictures from the scene show a huge police presence in the area where there are several blocks of flats and a cordon in place.
At least a dozen police vehicles and around 20 officers have been spotted in attendance, according to witnesses. Two ambulances and a paramedic car are also in attendance.
The nature of the incident is currently unknown.An eyewitness told the Record: "I was out driving and couldn't believe how many police cars raced past me with their sirens on.
