Police discovered huge knives on six youths arrested at a tram stop tonight (March 22). Six youths were stopped at Cornbrook tram station just outside Manchester City Centre and arrested for a number of offences.
This included suspicion to commit robbery, a public order offence, and possession of bladed articles, according to police. Police have shared images of two of the knives seized with both blades in excess of 15cm.
The arrested six are currently in custody, police say.
