Making Of A Bad Boy, exploring Diddy’s early life and career and featuring interviews with people close to the rap mogul, has been released in the US.Streaming service Peacock released the documentary today (January 14) as the first of two movies about Diddy, real name Sean Combs. He’s currently being held in a federal jail in New York City following numerous sexual misconduct lawsuits being filed against him and his arrest in September.
His trial is set to begin on May 5, and should he be found guilty of charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, he could face 15 years to life in prison.Combs, who has denied all allegations against him through legal representatives, has been denied bail multiple times, with the first denial coming after he offered a $50million (£40.1million) bond.
He was then reportedly placed on suicide watch.According to their makers, the documentaries are set to offer “crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster.”Friends, collaborators and a former bodyguard have all contributed, while there’s exclusive footage of Combs at home and in the studio.
For their part, Combs’ lawyers have said the documentaries are filled with “unchecked claims and provide platforms for baseless conspiracy theories.”At present, Peacock is the only place to watch the documentary.
