After premiering at SXSW earlier this year, the documentary “MoviePass, MovieCrash” drops on the premium cable network HBO and the streaming service Max on Wednesday, May 29.
It chronicles the rise and fall of the once-popular movie ticket subscription service, MoviePass — which was co-founded by Stacy Spikes and Hamet Watt.
It was touted as “Netflix for movie theaters.” If you want to watch it online, “MoviePass, MovieCrash” airs on HBO and streams on Max simultaneously on May 29 at 9 p.m.
